Calavera para Peter / 'Calavera' for Peter

Estaba Peter trabaje y trabaje

A Turbo intento llegar

In México, like a lot of people already know, we have a big tradition for the All Saints Day or Day of the Dead, and that is to write a "Calavera" which is a kind of a funny poem to a friend or family member, and that is why this time we decided to dedicate this one to our great friend Peter.

Peter with all our best wishes for you from Gilda and Moy.

Peter and the Dead

Peter working and working he was
with this TPMS that doesn't let him relax
when the Dead arrived and try to kiss him

Peter tried to escape
using an Insignia as a shell
but since was thursday and midday
get his pancakes was a risk to take

To Turbo he tried to get
when Carl-Anders find him on his way
and sent him to do more tests

Peter unhappy and without knowing what to do
says to the Dead "now I am in the correct mood"
Peter told her "Turbo, Shangrila, whatever you prefer
but take me out of here before I regret"

The Dead to Shangrila tried to take him
but when the cold she couldn't resist
"Peter stay to test TPMS that seems a hell"

Nypon Soppa

English

Today we got together to watch a movie at Henrik's new flat, but when we go out of work, Peter gave us a ride and since we had one hour left before the movie, Peter invited us to taste the 'Nypon Soppa'. It is a soup that can be hot or cold and is the chosen soup for the swedes when they are sick.

This time we took it hot and normally you put vanilla ice cream, yes I know what face you put but is a sweet soup and Peter was telling us that you can also put corn flakes, we had 'hönekaka', which is a bread in which we put butter and cheese.

Personal opinion of the soup: Was really weird when I tried it in the beginning and discovered was sweet, because for me when I hear the word SOUP is related to salty but was really good, and the ice cream gave it a plus.

By the way we saw the movie 'Michael Clayton' that although is not bad is quite slow.

English

This weekend was the change to wintertime here in Sweden as well as in my country Mexico. Like always happens a lot of people experience funny things or annoying ones.

On sunday we woke up at 9:30, to go to church at 11:00, I got a shower, we took breakfast and we leave late like almost every sunday, thing that make me been mad. We parked the car and just before going out I turn around and said to Moy: we change to wintertime today!!!

And well at the end was good going late because then we waited more or less 40 minutes in the car, here you don't find the 'tamales' in the corner or the 'menudo' in the market. Has been the first time we arrived so early to church.

And you, how was the change to wintertime for you? your country also change time?

¡¡¡YA REGRESÉ!!! / I AM BACK!!!

English

HELLO EVERYBODY!!

I have to apologize this time for my large absence. I have several reasons why I didn't write but the main one was laziness when I arrived home hehe and the lack of inspiration when I sit at the computer.

It has been also a lot of work and when I arrived home the least I want to do is sit at the computer, but is better too much work because then I don't get bored, going from one place to the other is nicer.

Then on saturday just when I said "is time to write", I found some red spots in my arm and was hurting a lot!! and on sunday my hand was more like a piggy hand (Cinty you know what I am talking about) and I was not able to do much.

But ok now I am back and I promise to write more and update this blog so you can know what has happen with our life.

Don't stop passing by!!!

Enferma :( / Sick :(

English

Today I'm at home, it feels so strange to be at home in a weekday and with a sunny day!!!, anyway unfortunately I got sick, I have a flu that I hadn't have in a long time, and in the night I felt how my head was going to explode so we decided that was better if I skip work :) something nice of not going to work is to receive phonecalls, first from my husband asking how I was feeling and then friends that just want to make sure I was ok.

And well with this of the temperature and everything, I remembered one story that happened to us like two years ago. We were living in Goteborg and decided to go to 'Apoteket', here you don't find pharmacies of 24 hrs or of similars nothing like that. The pharmacies are of the government and they have restricted times to open and also some products are restricted, that you can only buy them with a note from an scandinavian doctor. Seems that the monopoly is going to disappear in July 2009, we will see.

But ok continuing with the story. Moy and I decided to buy a digital thermometer, we were in Sweden for just a little while so no swedish at all, we arrived to apotetek and there were a few types of thermometers but mainly two. One says "för munhåla" and the other one "i ändtarmen". The first we imagined was for the mouth but the other one ???, so we decided to ask, we found a woman that speak nothing of english so after thinking for a while, she decided to explained us with mimics hehe... and was rectal hahaha, you can imagine the poor lady trying to explain us.

¡Coldplay en Concierto! / Coldplay in Concert!

English

Since Coldplay became famous with their album Parachutes, Moy loved the music and since our relationship was starting we made the song 'Yellow' ours. When we came to Europe we promised go to at least one of their concerts as soon as we could, a few months ago we saw that they were going to be in Stockholm in the Globen and we decided to go. Peter, Johan, Henrik and Anna went with us.

The concert was just AMAZING they played mainly the last album but they couldn't leave the hits of the other albums out. I didn't like the band that opened the concert and I don't even know the name, I was just waiting until they go away haha. After waiting one more hour, 'The Nutcracker' started and after that the concert started with 'Violet Hill'.

The truth is that with each song I got the chills inside and you saw Chris Martin running around the stage. After 1 hour 45 min they said goodbye with 'Death and All His Friends', but they went back to close with 'Yellow'. the concert was soooo fast, like water, when you don't think about it, it ends :(

Ok so before starting this I ask for an apology if someone feels offended and I'm not generalizing, but this time the swedes really disappointed me, it's something that I simply couldn't believe and was the cold way they that swedes behave in the concert. First I was really amazed when in the entrance they were selling earplugs!! and all the swedes got into the concert with them and during the concert you see them just sitting there without moving, like if they were studying the music instead of feeling it. But anyway is their life haha.

Some pictures of the concert, not the best ones but still they are ok, thanks Peter.
