Fiesta de Independencia / Independence Party

Este año nos lanzamos a la fiesta mexicana que se organiza en Gotemburgo, la verdad es que estuvo muy bien.

Fuimos de los primeros en llegar porque nos fuimos con Alejandro y él se había ofrecido a ayudar en la organización. Alejandro invitó a su amigo Martin para que conociera un poco de las celebraciones mexicanas.

De lo mejor que hubo fue la comida ya que podías escoger entre un carnitas (tortillas y frijoles incluidos) y flautas (de pollo o papa). Moy y yo escogimos flautas y la verdad es que estuvieron deliciosas aparte de que la salsa que aunque no picaba mucho le daba un sabor rico.

Después de la cena empezó el grito el cual lo dio un señor de la embajada seguido por cantar nuestro himno nacional que realmente hace que se te enchine la piel. Hay un grupo de señoras que se juntan a ensayar bailables y en fiestas de este tipo hacen todo un show, que la verdad les sale muy bien y se van intercalando con el "mariachi" que en realidad para mi es más un trío pero la verdad es que le echan muchas ganas y más si consideras que está formado por 3 suecos y un mexicano jajaja.

Al finalizar los bailables pues se recogen algunas de las mesas para dar espacio para bailar pero realmente la música dejó mucho que desear y no comunicaba jajaja. Lo único que si me gustó de la música fue cuando pusieron caballo dorado y en serio que como me acordé de mi mamá que siempre corre a bailarla y nos jala a todos, y pues para continuar con la tradición nos paramos a bailar y lo más gracioso del caso es que jalamos a Martin, a quien debo decir le salió bastante bien... incluso le ganó a Alejandro jaja.

Antes de la media noche pues nos decidimos regresar pues todavía nos quedaba una hora de camino. Pero la pasamos muy bien y pues así celebramos nuestra independencia aunque nos adelantams unos cuantos días.

This year we decided to go to the mexican party that it's organized in Gothenburg every year, and was really good.

We were one of the first ones to arrived since Alejandro promised to help with the organization. Alejandro invited his friend Martin so he could know a little bit of the mexican celebrations.

One of the best things was the food, you could choose between "carnitas" (tortillas and beans included) and "flautas" (chicken or potato). Moy and I chose flautas and they were delicious, the sauce that wasn't spicy really but gave the a very good taste.

After dinner the "shout" began, which was made by a man from the embassy, after that we sang the Mexican Anthem which makes you feel chills. There is a group of women that get together to dance mexican traditional songs and in parties of this kind they make all the show, and to e honest they do it really well and they dance once and then the "mariahi" sing a song although for me it's more a "trio" but they make a big effort and more if you consider they are 3 swedish and a mexican hahaha.

When all the dancing and singing is finished, it's time to remove some tables to give space to the dancefloor but I didn't like so much the music they didn't really put the typical songs for a party in Mexico hahaha. But one this a liked from the music was when they put "Caballo Dorado" and I immediately remember my mom, she always runs to the dancefloor when that song starts and pull everyone with her, and to continue with the tradition we get up to dance it and the funniest thing is that we pull Martin with us, and who will say that he was really good ... and actually he was better than Alejandro haha.

Before midnight we decided to come back to Trollhättan, we still have one hour of travelling. We had a very good time and we celebrated our independence although we celebrate a few days earlier.
