Diversion en la nieve / Having fun in the snow

Aprovechando que volvió a nevar decidimos salir a jugar con la nieve. Era un bonito día soleado así que estuvo ideal.

Todavía no limpiaban muchos caminos así que tenías que caminar por montañas de nieve. Pero bueno creo que será mas divertido que vean las fotos.

Taking advantage that yesterday fell more snow we decided to go out and play with it. Was a very nice sunny day so was perfect.

They hadn't clean the roads completely so you have to walk in mountains of snow. But anyway I think is funnier you see the pictures.

Viajando en la tormeta / Going in the storm

El pasado viernes anunciaron que habría una tormenta y que todo el sábado estaría mega airoso y con mucha nieve así que recomendaban no salir. Nosotros originalmente no íbamos a salir pero luego hablamos con Peter y decidimos ir a un centro comercial obviamente no teníamos que ir muy lejos.

Todas las calles se veían super vacías, en muchos lugares no estaban limpiando la nieve ya que seguía cayendo y pues no querían hacer el gasto doble prácticamente, oías en las noticias que en la carretera a Gotemburgo estaba el tráfico parado. En el centro comercial había muchas tiendas cerradas y obviamente no había mucha gente. Finalmente decidimos regresar a nuestra casa a preparar algo de comer y luego nos fuimos a casa de Peter a ver una película y como nos regresaríamos caminando pues íbamos super preparados para el frío ya que la temperatura bajaba a -15°C, en nuestro camino de regreso realmente no había banquetas, estaban completamente cubiertas de mínimo 40 cm. de nieve así que todo el tiempo tuvimos que ir caminando a media calle.

Fue toda una experiencia que la verdad volvería a repetir jajaja.

Last friday in the news announced that a storm was coming and that all saturday was going to be very windy and with a lot of snow so they recommended not going out. Originally we were going to stay home but then Peter called us and we decided to go to a mall of course we weren't going far.

All the streets were empty and in a lot of places they weren't cleaning the snow because more was falling so they didn't want to spent the double of the money, you could hear in the radio that the traffic in the highway to Gothenburg was completely standing still. In the mall a lot of shops were closed and of course it wasn't too much people. Finally we decided to go back to our house to make some food and we went later to Peter's house to see a movie and since we were coming back walking we were completely prepare to the cold weather since temperature goes to -15°C. In our way back they weren't sidewalks, they were completely cover of snow, a minimum of 40 cm. so all the time we were walking in the middle of the street.

Was a complete adventure that I could repeat anytime hahaha.

¿Angel en la nieve? / Angel in the snow?

Siempre que cae nieve lo primero que viene a tu mente es salir a hacer un angelito, es algo como automático pero siempre tienes que pensarlo dos veces antes de aventarte a la aventura.


H: Checa el gran ángel en la nieve que voy a hacer!
M: Pero que cerdo! sólo porque está nevando, usted no puede dejar de recoger los desechos de su perro!

Y después de este chiste creo que lo pienso más de dos veces jajaja, uno siempre cuídandose de la nieve amarilla y ahora...

Everytime that falls down snow the first thing that comes into your mind is go out and make an angel in the snow, it's something automatic but you must think about it twice before going to the adventure.

Fettisdagen 2010

Como cada año llegó el día de celebrar el "Fettisdagen" como ya lo hicimos el año pasado y pues ha comer Selmas se ha dicho, este año no comimos ni una sola semla antes de este día como que simplemente no se dio, pero ahora decidí hacer mis propias semlas y no quedaron tan mal. Invitamos a algunos amigos aunque no pudieron venir todos pero estuvieron presentes Peter, Silvia y Henrik y pasamos un buen rato.


Nota: La preparación corrió a cargo de Peter jeje.

Like every year it came the day to celebrate the "Fettisdagen" as we did last year and eat Semlas was the task, this year we didn't eat any semla before this day simply the opportunity didn't show up, but this time I decided to make my own and they were not bad. We invited some friends although not everyone could come but Peter, Silvia and Henrik were here and we had a nice time.

Note: The preparation was made by Peter hehe.

Hjo

Este fin de semana tuvimos la oportunidad de ir a Hjo, pueblo natal de Henrik. Nos invitaron sus papás a pasar el fin de semana a su casa.

Salimos el viernes como a las 5 de la tarde, después de hacer mis galletas de San Valentin en casa de Sil y llegamos a Hjo a cenar. Después de hacer el tour por la casa y por el garage nos pusimos a cenar, había un pescado aplastado que es uno de los platillos favoritos de Henrik y que estaba muy rico.

Nos quedamos platicando otro rato y luego a dormir se ha dicho, nuestros planes del día siguiente incluían ir a nadar pero como Silvia no iba a poder nadar por la quemada pues decidimos cancelarlo para poder hacer algo todos juntos. Fuimos a una tienda de triques (Krings krangs en sueco) y luego recorrimos un poco Hjo para luego partir a casa de la abuelita de Henrik donde íbamos a comer. Ella vive en un lugar en medio de la nada donde realmente ves naturaleza por todos lados, nos dio una salchichas verdes que eran de carne de puerco con algo más y que realmente no fueron mis favoritas. Después de reirnos un rato de Henrik viendo fotos regresamos a Hjo, donde paseamos otro rato pero el frío nos mandó a la casa. Decidimos jugar Rummy Sil, Moy y yo (mismo que ha quedado inconcluso), después cenamos y nos lanzamos a ver el Melodifestivalen, del cual no soy aficionada, comiendo un delicioso pay de manzana.






A la mañana siguiente después de desayunar nos lanzamos a jugar con la Pulka, lo cual fue MUY divertido aunque en ocasiones el exceso de nieve evitaba que la pulka agarrara velocidad y ahí fue donde tomamos algunas fotos muy buenas jeje. Regresamos a comer para partir a Trole.

En general nuestro fin de semana estuvo muy bien, sus papás de Henrik nos trataron MUY bien, nos estuvimos acordando de algunas anécdotas de México y de todos los ausentes. Hubo cosas muy divertidas como la mala jugada que le hizo una silla a Henrik y que lo hizo terminar en el suelo jajajaja.

This weekend we had the opportunity to go to Hjo, Henrik's home town. His parents invited us to spend the weekend at their house.

We went out at 17:00, after I made my San Valentine's cookies at Silvia's house and arrived to Hjo for the dinner. After making the tour through the house and the garage, we had dinner, Maria made a flat fish which is one of Henrik's favorite dishes and it was really good.

We continue talking for a while and then we went to bed, our plans for the day next included swimming but since Silvia couldn't swim because of her burn we decided to change it to do something together. We went to a store full of cheap things (Krings krangs in swedish) and later we walk a little bit in Hjo to go to the house of Henrik's grandmother where we were going to eat. She lives in the middle of nowhere where you can really see nature everywhere, she prepared some green sausages made of pork meat with something else and they were not really my favorite ones. After laughing for a while looking at Henrik in some pictures, we went back to Hjo, where we walked a little bit but the cold make us go back home. We decided to play Rummy, Sil, Moy and I (and actually we haven't finish it), after dinner we went to see Melodifestivalen, from which I'm not really a fan, eating a delicious apple pie.

Next morning after having breakfast we went to play with the Pulka, which was really funny althought due to amount of snow the pulka didn't get too much speed and there was where we took some good pictures hehe. We went back to eat to come back to Trollhättan after that.

In general our weekend was really good, Henrik's parents treated us very good, we remembered some stories from Mexico and of all the missing. Were some funny things like the chair that made Henrik finish in the floor hahaha.

Quemada / Burned

El día de ayer fue todo un acontecimiento. Resulta que ese día en la mañana me lancé a un pequeño centro comercial de rapidín a buscar un molde para galletas pues quería hacer galletas de San Valentin. Pero estando en mi búsqueda recibí una llamada de mi hermana Silvia ¡¡¡qué se acababa de quemar!!! De momento uno piensa, la exagerada se quemó con un cerillo o algo por el estilo pero ¡¡NO!! la ñinita puso TODA la mano en la parrilla eléctrica que había prendido minutos antes en el número 6 (de niveles 1 al 6).

Le hablé a Moy para decirle y como yo me encontraba algo lejos, me dijo que en ese instante se daba una vuelta para ver cómo estaba. Ya que andaba en el centro pues pasé a la farmacia a comprar algo para ponerle aunque todavía no sabía si sería necesario llevarla al doctor. A los pocos minutos me llamó Moy que iban a ir con el doctor pero le comenté que ya había comprado algunas cosas y que iba casi corriendo (no se podía mucho dado el piso resbaloso) así que decidieron esperar a que yo llegara.

Cuando llegué Henrik ya también había llegado, Silvia ya tenía la mano en agua fría y le pusimos los vendajes que me recomendaron. Afortunadamente las quemaduras no fueron graves y aunque no le quedaba mucha huella digital, sus dedos estaban muy bien y solo tenía dos quemadas más fuertes en la palma de la mano.

Hasta el momento no me explico porqué puso la mano pero es una de esas preguntas que siempre quedarán sin contestar jajajaja.

Al momento de escribir este post ya se encuentra mucho mejor y solo fue mayor el susto.

Yesterday was a complete event. In the morning I decided to go to a little mall very fast to search for a cookie shape to make some valentine's cookies. But while I was there my sister Silvia called me to tell me she just burned herself!!! In that moment one thinks, she's just overreacting and she just burned herself with a match or something like that but NO!! the little girl put ALL the hand in the electric grill that she just turned on a few minutes before in the numbre 6 (of levels 1 to 6).

I called Moy and since I was farther away, he told me that in the moment he was going to see how she was. Since I was already in downtown I decided to go to the pharmacy to buy something to put her on although I didn't know if it was necessary to take her to the doctor. A few minutes later Moy called me that they were going to the doctor, I told him I just bought some stuff and I was almost running (as much as I could with slippery floor) so they decided to wait for me.

When I arrived, Henrik was already there. Silvia was with her hand in cold water and we put her the bandages they recommended me. Fortunately the burns were not that strong and although her fingerprints were almost gone, her fingers were fine and she just had two stronger burns in the palm.

Until now I can't explain why she put the hand but I guess it's one of those questions that will never have an answer hahahaha.

At the moment of writing this post she's much better and was only the scare.

La mayoría de la gente dice "me fascina el Sushi" pero realmente no conocen el Dim Sum, el cual tuve la oportunidad de probar y la verdad es delicioso pero bueno el chiste es que hace unos meses me encontré un divertido video referente a la batalla entre Sushi y Dim Sum.

Most of the people say "I love the Sushi" but they don't really know the Dim Sum, which I had the opportunity to try and I should say it's delicious but anyway the point is that a few months ago I found this video which refers to the fight between the Sushi and the Dim Sum.

Power-Yoga

El día de hoy decidí a regresar a mis clases de Power-Yoga (solo había ido a una jajajaja). Se supone que deben ser unas clases de cuerpo y mente pero creo que en mi caso es doblemente de mente porque como las clases son en sueco pues tengo que estar super concentrada para entender lo que está diciendo la instructora. Y nunca falta cuando se te acerca y te dice "estírate más...más...más" y tú con cara de ¡¿WHAT?! entre que ya no puedes y no entiendes que te está diciendo bien jajaja.

Algo que obviamente no me gusta es el detalle de que ya que te relajaste todavía te tienes que venir caminando a tu casa (en mi caso) y pues obviamente con el frío. Pero bueno seguiré yendo para seguir ejercitando mi oído jeje.

Today I decided to go back to my Power-Yoga classes (I just went to one before hahahaha). They should be clases for mind and body but in my case they are more for the mind since they are in swedish I have to put a lot of attention to understand what the instructor is saying. And of course happens those times when the instructor go with you and says "Stretch more...more...more" and you put a face of ¡¿WHAT?! between you can't anymore and you don't understand exactly what she is saying hahaha.

Something that I really don't like is the little detail of being completely relax and then you have to go walking to your house (in my case) and of course with the cold weather. Anyway I will continue going to exercise my ear hehe.

¡¡¡Nieve!!! / Snow!!!

Pues este invierno ha nevado MUCHO. Digo por lo general el norte de Suecia tiene nieve todo el invierno pero aquí en Trole es más la lluvia por lo general que realmente la nieve pero este año ha sido la excepción. La verdad es que todo se ve más bonito lleno de nieve y no nada más frío y ya.

Pero como que últimamente si ha sido demasiada nieve y no deja de nevar. Aparte de que como que ya ni saben donde ponerla jaja, solo ves cerros de nieve en estacionamientos o simplemente limpian las calles pero en las calles pequeñas ya no limpian las banquetas.

Por lo pronto seguiremos disfrutando la vista hasta que se decida ir.

Well this winter has been snowing A LOT. Generally the north of Sweden has snow all the winter but here in Trollhättan is more rain than snow but this year has been the exception. The truth is that eveything looks nicer full of snow and not only cold and that's it.

But lately had been really too much and doesn't stop snowing. And seems that they don't know where to put it any longer haha, you just see mountains of snow in parking lots or they just clean the streets but in small street they don't clean the sidewalks anymore.

Anyway we will continue enjoying the view until the snow decides to go.
