Tulipanes / Tulips

Algo que me gusta mucho son los tulipanes y pues aprovechando que ahorita es la época para comprar de todos colores y tener en tu casa, Moy me trajó unos que la verdad es que abrieron bien padre. En nuestro departamento que es tan caliente como efecto invernadero, en las mañanas tengo que moverlos de lugar y ya en la tarde pueden regresar a la cocina.


Desgraciadamente la época está a punto de terminar así que tal vez sean los últimos por el momento.

Something I really like are the tulips and taking the advantage that right now is the moment to buy of many different colors and have them at home, Moy brought me ones that actually they opened very nice. In our apartment that it's so hot like a greenhouse, in the mornings I have to move them and in the afternoon they can go back to the kitchen.

Unfortunately the season is over soon so maybe these will be the last ones for the moment.

Cumpleaños de Sil / Sil's birthday

Pues el día de ayer fue el cumpleaños de mi hermana Silvia, nos invitó a su casa a festejar y entonces le dije que yo le hacía su pastel de cumpleaños ya que es bien feo que hagas tu propio pastel de cumpleaños ¿¿¿a poco no???

Decidí hacerle el pastel germano de chocolate que es uno de sus favoritos pero lleva nuez y como Henrik es alérgico decidí hacer uno extra sin nuez para que pudiera probarlo aunque fuera una versión distinta.

Hubo un pequeño problema en la planeación ya que en una tienda encontré nueces de pacana que para mis son "las normales" pero después solo encontré nueces de castilla, todo iba bien hasta que hablé con mi hermana Cintya y le comenté de las nueces que había comprado y me dijo "mmm pero la lata es que las tienes que pelar" y yo con cara de "what?" y ya me explicó que tienen una cubierta transparente y la tienes que quitar metiéndolas en agua caliente y luego con la mano. Así que el mero día hacer esto nos retrasó bastante!!

Total que llegamos un poco tarde con el pastel en la super protección que llevó Peter de retache en su coche jeje.

Todo el festejo estuvo muy bien, la carne que preparó Sil muy rica y prácticamente nos venimos hasta que terminó su cumpleaños jeje.

Yesterday was my sister's Silvia birthday, she invited us to celebrate in her house so I told her I will make her birthday cake because it's kind of bad doing your cake, right???

I decided to make the german chocolate cake which is one of Silvia's favorites but since it contain nuts and Henrik is alergic I decided to make one extra without nuts so he could eat it although it was a different version.

There was a little problem in the planning because in one store I found pecan nuts which are the "normals" ones for me but then in another one I only found walnuts, everything was going fine until I spoke with my sister Cintya and I told her I bought walnuts so she said "mmm but it's annoying to peel them out" and I was with a face of "what?" so then she explained that they have a transparent cover and you must remove it putting them on hot water and then with the hand, so the exact day we were delay by that a lot!!

Anyway we arrived a little bit late with the cake in the special protection that Peter brough back in his car hehe.

All the celebration was really good, the meat that Silvia made was delicious and practically we came back until her birthday ended hehe.

Reparando la bici / Fixing the bike

Pues hoy decidimos ir por mi bici, Moy se lanzó en su bici hasta donde estaba la mía para comenzar a cambiar la llanta y yo mientras caminé y caminé bajo la lluvia hasta llegar allá. Para cuando llegué Moy ya había terminado así que ya nos pudimos regresar los dos en bici.

Decidimos pasar al centro a comprar más cámaras de bicicleta para futuras ocasiones y después iríamos a otra tienda a comprar algunas cosas de comida que nos hacían falta. En camino a esta tienda SE ME VUELVE A PONCHAR LA LLANTA!!!! Así que aprovechando las cámaras que habíamos comprado pues Moy se puso a repararla de nuevo y yo empecé a caminar de nuevo rumbo a la tienda. Llegué compré lo que necesitábamos, regresé y Moy seguía reparando la llanta porque decidió experimentar y tratar de parcharla!! Afortunadamente ya se había dado por vencido y ya estaba cambiándola.

Finalmente nos volvemos a subir a nuestras bicis y llegamos a casa. Lo que había pasado es que un pedazo de vidrio que la había ponchado antes se había quedado entre la llanta y la cámara y la volvió a ponchar.

Afortunadamente ya casi en todas las calles están quitando la grava y pronto no tendremos ese pequeño riesgo.

Today we decided to go and pick up my bike, Moy went there in his bike to start changing the tire and I meanwhile walked and walked in the rain there. When I got there Moy had already finish so we could come back in the bikes.

We decided to make a stop at downtown and bought more innertubes for future occasions and after that we were going to a store to buy some food that we needed. In the way to this store MY TIRE GO FLAT AGAIN!!!! So taking advantage that we had the innertubes we bought Moy started changing it again and I started walking again to the store. I arrived, bought the stuff, cae back and Moy was still changing the tire because he decided to make an experiment and tried to patch it!! Fortunately he was done with that and decided to change it for a new one.

Finally we ride our bikes again and we arrived home. What had happen was that a piece of glass responsible of breaking the tire before stayed between the tire and innertube and broke it again.

Fortunately in almost all the streets they are removing the stones and soon we'll without that little risk.

"Våffeldagen" - desperfecto en la bici / flaw in the bike

Pues ya llegó la temporada de sacar las bicicletas sin que esté el piso resbaloso, pero debido al piso resbaloso llenaron de grava las calles para evitar caídas. La semana pasada decidí que ya era tiempo de empezar a andar en bici así que le inflé las llantas a mi bici y preparé todo el equipo correspondiente. Ese día tenía una junta por SAAB a las 7 de la noche y quería regresar rápidamente a la casa para celebrar el Våffeldagen osea día del waffle.

Me lancé a mi junta con tiempo de sobra para no llegar toda sudada por andar en bici y más considerando que era una distancia algo grande para el primer día de regreso a la bici. Cuando iba a la mitad de mi loca carrera faltando 20 minutos para las 7, empiezo a escuchar un ruido extraño y ¡¡oh sorpresa!! ¡¡se me había ponchado la llanta de atrás!! Le llamé a Moy para informarle y no quedándome más remedio me dispuse a caminar los 3 kms aprox. que me faltaban, unos minutos antes de salir había decidido ponerme unos zapatos cómodos y vaya que di gracias a Dios por mi decisión.

Me sentí caminando en medio de la nada con el sol metiéndose por un lado y la luna saliendo por el otro como en las caricaturas sin ver para cuando iba a llegar a mi destino. Llegué unos 5 minutos tarde y en lo que encadenada mi bici otros 3.

Debido a que Peter iba a comer waffles con nosotros, Moy le pidió que fuera por mi porque sino hubiera hecho otra hora en llegar jajaja. Y finalmente a las 9:30 de la noche estábamos disfrutando nuestros waffles con mermelada de fresa (hecha por mi) y crema batida.

The season to take the bikes arrived without the slippery floor, but since the floor was all frozen they put little stones everywhere to avoid falls. Last week I decided was time to take out my bike so I put air to the tires and prepared all my equipment. That day I had an meeting close to SAAB at 7pm and I wanted to go back fast to celebrate the waffle's day (Våffeldagen).

I went to my meeting with more time than the necesary to avoid arriving all sweaty after riding the bike and taking into consideration also that was a long distance to be the first time back in the bike. When I was in the middle of my crazy race at 6:40, I started listening a weird noise and oh no!! I got a flat tire!! I called Moy just to let him know and without other option I started walking the last 3 kms aprox. I have left, some minutes before going out of my house I decided to put on some comfortable shoes and I was thanking God for that decision.

I felt like I was walking in the middle of nowhere with the sun going down in one side and the moon coming out in the other like in the cartoons and without looking when I was going to reach my destination. I arrived 5 minutes late and after I locked my bike other 3.

Since Peter was going to eat waffles with us, Moy asked him to pick me up otherwise I would be walking for another hour hahaha. Finally at 9:30 in the night we were enjoying our waffles with strawberry mermelad (made by me) and whipped cream.

Cumpleaños de Peter / Peter's Birthday

El día de ayer fue el cumpleaños de nuestro querido amigo Peter. Y para celebrarlo nos invitó a su casa.

El miércoles que estábamos platicando me ofrecí a hacerle su pastel pero para dicho fin él lo escogió. Después de buscar pasteles durante casi una hora se decidió por uno de coco. El jueves compré los ingredientes que me faltaban y más tarde me dispuse a hacerlo. Ya que estaba listo le pedí a Moy que me armara una protección de cartón para llevárnoslo a casa de Peter y ya cuando estábamos con un pie en la calle empezó a llover pero pues emprendimos la carrera a casa de Peter.

Ya estando allá no pudimos evitar hacerle una pequeña broma siendo el "día de los inocentes" acá en Suecia y entonces dejamos el pastel en otro piso y subimos a tocar su timbre. Una vez que nos abrió con una sonrisa de oreja a oreja en la cara le dimos la mala noticia de que su pastel se nos había caído jejeje, aunque quiso aparentar no estar triste la realidad era que si lo estaba, después de que ya estaba pensando que planear para solucionar el problema, Moy llegó con el pastel y la sonrisa regresó a la cara de Peter jeje.

Una vez que llegaron todos los invitados se dispuso a abrir sus regalos y luego le trajimos el pastel lleno de velitas las cuales le costaron trabajo apagar pero lo logró jeje. Y la verdad es que el pastel estaba delicioso!!



En general el festejo estuvo muy bien y Peter estaba muy contento.

Yesterday was birthday of our dear friend Peter and to celebrate it he invited us to his house.

On wednesday when we were chatting I offered him to make his cake but to do that he chose it. After searching for cakes during almost 1 hour he finally chose one of coconut. On thursday I bought the ingredients I was missing and later I made the cake. When it was ready I asked Moy if he could make a cover with cardboard to take it to Peter's house and when we were already with one foot in the street started raining but we decided to go to Peter's house anyway.

Once we were there we couldn't avoid making a little joke since was "April's Fool" here in Sweden so we leave the cake in another floor and we rang the bell. Once Peter opened the door with a smile in all the face and we gave his the bad news that his cake fell hehehe, although he tried not too show he was sad the truth was that he was, after he was already saying what we should do to solve the problem, Moy arrived with the cake and the smile came back to his face hehe.

After all the guests arrived, Peter opened all his presents and then we brought the cake full of candles, although he had a hard time to blow them all he made it hehe. And I must said that the cake was delicious!!

In general the celebration was really good and Peter was really happy.

¡¡The Cranberries me decepcionan!! / The Cranberries disappointed me!!

Hace unos meses cuando me enteré que The Cranberries harían gira mundial de nuevo, no pude evitar emocionarme mucho y realmente planear ir a algún concierto en algún lugar que quedara cerca. Una de las últimas opciones que estuve viendo fue ir a Francia donde se presentaría en Pascua y por lo tanto sería más fácil ir en días de asueto.

Después escuché que pospusieron sus conciertos en México y la verdad es que eso me dejó pensando un poco en si realmente valía la pena hacer el gasto que ir al concierto iba a implicar. Pues todo el viaje no salía nada barato.

Investigué e investigué, busqué todas las opciones para saber cual era la más barata y si se ajustaba a nuestro presupuesto pero al ver que realmente no dejaba de ser mucho dinero decidí dejarlo por la paz.

El día de ayer me voy enterando que The Cranberries decidieron posponer sus conciertos de este fin de semana en Francia porque una vez más Dolores está enferma. La verdad es que el pretextito ya está sonando bastante gastado y me han decepcionado mucho.

Espero que algún día se recupere y se deje de enfermar para que sus fans los puedan escuchar, pero creo que por el momento hasta que no se presenten a la vuelta de mi casa no iré a verlos jeje.

A few months ago when I knew that The Cranberries were going to make a new world tour, I couldn't avoid getting excited and start planning to go to a concert somewhere close. One of my last options I was checking was going to France where they were going to be in Eastern and that would make easier to go because of the free days.

After I listened that they posponed the concerts in Mexico and to be honest that make me think twice if it was really worth to expend money to go to the concert. Since all the trip wasn't cheap.

I make research, try to the find all the possible options to know which could be the cheapest and find it was ok for our budget but after looking that was still a lot of money I decided to cancelled everything.

Yesterday I read that The Cranberries decided to pospone the concert of this weekend in France because once more Dolores is sick. But come one sounds like the little excuse is getting old and they are disappointing me a lot.

I hope one day she gets better and stops getting sick so their fans can really listen to them, but meanwhile I won't try to see them until they come around my house hehe.
