¡¡¡El Avión!!! / The Plane!!!

Hace unos días Peter llegó con un pequeño regalo para Moy pero había una pequeña condición al regalo y era "Que lo pueda usar tanto como él quisiera".


Al abrirlo Moy fue descubriendo un pequeño avión a control remoto. Todos emocionados ahora solo tenían que esperar a que llegara un día sin viento... cosa que puede ser un poco difícil por acá. Total que ese día llegó el pasado domingo, y rápidamente nos preparamos para salir a volar el avioncito. Lo recargamos, leímos las indicaciones y nos dispusimos a salir.


Moy fue el primero en probar sus habilidades y pues no fueron muy buenas pero estuvo bien digo era el primero jeje.

Le siguió Peter quien demostró ser todo un experto (todavía creemos que ya tenía uno para él jaja).

Y bueno llegó mi turno y yo había notado que todo andaba medio aburrido así que decidí darles algo de diversión. El avión se sintió atraído por los árboles y se quedó atorado 3 veces!!! jaja, después me alejé de los árboles y se fue hacía un perro el cual le ladró sin poderlo alcanzar porque la dueña (una viejita) lo tenía bien agarrado jeje.


Y para terminar le tocó a Alejandro, quien en un principio no le agarraba la onda pero luego también mostró ser buen piloto, digo le fascinan los aviones.

Pero como quiera pasamos un muy buen rato y habrá que esperar otro día para volver a repetir.

A few days ago, Peter arrived with a little present for Moy with only one condition, that he could use the present as much as he wants.

When Moy opened it he discovered a little remote control airplane. All excited now they just have to wait for a day without wind ... and that can be kind of difficult here. So finally that day arrived last sunday, and as fast as we could we got ready to go out and fly the plane. We charged it, read all the instructions and went out.

Moy was the first to put his abilities to the test and were not so good but was ok to be the first one hehe.

Peter followed him and show that was an expert (we still believe that he already has one for him haha).

And then was my turn and I noticed that everything looked a little bit bored so I decided to give them some fun. The plane was completely attracted by the trees and got stuck 3 times!!! haha, then I kept it away from the trees and went to a dog, which bark and bark without been able to reach it because the owner (an old woman) was holding it really hard hehe.

At the end was Alejandro turn, in the beginning he was strugling a little bit but then he show to be a good pilot, I mean he loves planes.

But anyway we had a very nice time and we will have to wait for another day to repeat it.

Jordgubbär Självplockar

Este fin de semana aprovechamos para ir a recoger fresas, si no lo hacíamos íbamos a tener que esperar hasta el próximo año y pues ya teníamos ganas desde hace tiempo.




La temporada de fresa comienza a finales de junio y por todos lados ves que venden fresas porque aparte tienen que tenerlas listas para Midsommar.



La verdad es que estaban deliciosas, yo aproveche para comer algunas ahí jeje.

This weekend we take the opportunity to go an pick up strawberries, if we didn't do it we would have to wait until next year and we wanted to do it since a long time ago.

The strawberries season starts at the end of June and you see they are selling strawberries everywhere because they have to be ready to Midsummer.

But they were really delicious, I took the chance to eat a few in the place hehe.

Pues en este tiempo nos pusimos a poner fotos cada hora para que se den una idea de lo que hablamos al decir que prácticamente no hay noche como tal, no obscurece, completamente lo opuesto al invierno cuando de repente no sale el sol.

'Midsommarfirande'

Esta celebración es cuando ocurre el Solsticio de Verano, que es el día más largo del año. Es un día muy importante para Suecia y normalmente se reúnen muchas familias o amigos.

Dentro de lo más tradicional existe el baile alrededor del poste, el cual es conocido como 'midsommarstång'. Van principalmente las familias con niños pequeños a bailar canciones tradicionales suecas, algunos se visten con sus trajes típicos pero es más popular que las niñas traigan coronas de flores. El poste en forma de cruz es cubierto por flores y tiene dos aros colgando. También se suele decir que es un baile a la fertilidad.

La comida típica para este día son papas frescas, crema ácida, arenque (Sill) y fresas. Aunque actualmente también es muy típico que se haga una carne asada. Algo que no puede faltar es la bebida y se acostumbra tomar shots de una bebida alcohólica fuerte y se llaman 'Snaps', por lo general se canta antes de tomar cada shot.

Este año nosotros la pasamos aquí en nuestra casa pero primero nos dimos una vuelta a una iglesia donde se iba a poner un poste y luego nos venimos a comer a nuestra casa un salmón acompañado con papas frescas y bañado en salsa holandesa. Y para rematar le copié a Peter, 'Jordgubbstårta', un pastel que tiene crema de vainilla, mermelada de fresa y fresas frescas. Todo nos quedó muy rico realmente y la pasamos muy bien.

This celebration takes place in the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. Is a very important day in Sweden and normally the family get together or friends.

Among the most traditional things exist the dance around the pole, called 'midsommarstång'. They go mainly families with children to dance traditional swedish songs, some are dress with the typical swedish clothes but is more common that the girls have a crown make of flowers. The pole is a cross, it's cover with flowers and has two rings hanging. They also used to say that is dance for the fertility.

The typical food for this day are fresh potatoes, sour cream, herrings (Sill) and strawberries. Actually is very common to have a grill. Something that can't be missed is the drink and normally they drink shots of a strong alcoholic beverage called 'Snaps', generally they sing before drinking each shot.

This year we decided to spend the day here at home but first we went to a church where they put a pole and then we came to eat to our house. We ate salmon with fresh potatoes and hollandaise sauce. For dessert I copied a cake to Peter, 'Jordgubbstårta', which has vanilla cream, strawberry jam and fresh strawberries. Everything was really good and we had a nice time.

Último día en Mainz / Last day in Mainz

Así es como llegamos a nuestro último día en Mainz. Ese día decidimos llevárnosla tranquila, salimos a caminar, hicimos las últimas compras, comimos unos noodles en un restaurante que siempre había tenido ganas de comer y luego comimos fresas sentados a las orillas del Rin.

That is how we reached our last day in Mainz. We decided to take a relax day, we went out walking, made our last shopping, ate noodles in a restaurant I always wanted to eat and then strawberries looking at the Rhine.

Mainz 3er día / Mainz 3rd day

Para el tercer día (domingo) nuestro plan era ir a misa pero con la desvelada nos quedamos dormidos y ya no llegamos. Ese día Rene nos había invitado a su casa a una carne asada, pero antes decidimos dar una vuelta por un parque a caminar un rato. Fue el día más caluroso de todos llegamos como a 35°, nos habíamos comprado unas sandalias el día anterior pero para mi fueron contraproducentes ya que me hicieron ampolla.

En casa de Rene llegaron unos amigos de él y se quedaron a comer con nosotros. Más tarde llegó Sebastian y de ahí nos fuimos a comer un helado y luego a tomar un cóctel.

Ese día Mainz pasó a la primera división de fútbol en Alemania así que había fiesta por todos lados, veías gente pasar con playeras, gorras, bufandas,... celebrando.

For the third day (sunday) our plan was go to mass but with the late night we didn't wake up and we didn't arrive. That day Rene invited us to a barbecue at his house, but before going we went to a walk to a park. That day was the warmest, we reached 35°C. We bought sandals the day before but for me were not good because they made me a blister. In Rene's house they arrived some friends of him and they stayed to it with us. Later Sebastian arrived so we decided to go and take an ice cream and later a cocktail.

That day the Mainz football team went to the first division so was party everywhere, you see people with t-shirts, caps, scarfs,... celebrating.
