Día 3 - Cena de Cumpleaños / Day 3 - Birthday Dinner

Como les mencioné antes después de descansar en el hotel nos fuimos a cenar, unos días antes cuando celebramos el Fettisdagen nuestros amigos me dieron una tarjeta que debía abrir el día de mi cumpleaños y no antes.

Un día antes estábamos buscando donde cenaríamos para celebrar mi cumpleaños pero finalmente al abrir el sobre pues la decisión estaba tomada pues mi regalo era una cena en el restaurant Rallaren, el cual es un restaurant estilo saami con comida de la región.


Llegamos muy puntuales a las 8:00 (estilo sueco), la señorita nos explicó que el menú estaba elegido menos la bebida y el postre, así que después de escoger nos sirvió las entradas que eran unos rollitos de reno.



Acto seguido unas papas al gratin que acompañarían la carne de reno, la cual venía servida sobre algunas verduras. Y bueno como muchos de ustedes saben, yo odio el hígado, es algo que simplemente no puedo tolerar y cuando llegó el reno el olor que me llegó fue de hígado y al dar el primer bocado confirmé mis sospechas y sabía a hígado. Me lo terminé y todo acompañado de la salsita sabía mejor y no podía desaprovechar la oportunidad de comer carne de reno pero no creo volverme adicta a ella.



Pero cerramos con broche de oro cuando llegó el postre y yo pedí helado de vainilla con moras amarillas calientes que son muy típicas del norte de Suecia y bastante caras y difíciles de conseguir. Y Moy comío un pay de mora azul con salsa de vainilla.

Como buenos mexicanos nos quedamos en la mesa un buen rato y la señorita empezó a limpiar y recoger las mesas jeje. Finalmente no fuimos de ahí como a las 10:30 para prepararnos para nuestra excursión al bosque en busca de alguna aurora boreal perdida jeje.

Like I mentioned before, after resting in the hotel we went to have dinner, a few days before when we celebrated the Fettisdagen our friends gave me a card that I should open on my birthday but not before that.

One day before Moy and I were searching for a place to have dinner to celebrate my birthday but after opening the card the decision was taken because the gift was a dinner at the Rallaren restaurant, which is a restaurant with a Saami style and food from the region.

We went there on time at 20:00 (swedish way), the lady explain us that the menu was already chosen except for the drink and the dessert, so after choosing, she served the starters which were reindeer rolls.

After that we received some gratin potatoes that were going with the reindeer meat, which was with some veggies. So as a few of you know, I hate the liver, is something that I can't stand and when the reindeer meat arrived the smell was of liver and after the first bite was a liver flavour as I suspected it. I finished all and with the sauce tasted much better and I couldn't lose the chance of eating reindeer meat but I don't think I will be a fan of it.

But we closed perfectly when the dessert arrived, I asked for vanilla ice cream with warm cloud berries, which are typical from the north of Sweden, a little bit expensive and hard to find. And Moy ate blueberry pie with vanilla sauce.

As good Mexicans we stayed in the table for a loooong time talking so the lady started to clean and remove stuff from the tables hehe. Finally we left the restaurant around 10:30 to prepare ourselves for a walk in the forest in the search of the lost northern light hehe.
